Abstract

The purpose of teaching Chinese as a second language is to foster and improve communication skills in Chinese for foreign students, especially how to communicate appropriately in different situations.

This article will mainly focus on the importance of communication skills in teaching Chinese as a second language. Then based on my teaching experience, I would like to give some ideas about the ways to help students to achieve this communication goal.
