SITUATION OF SOME MORPHOLOGICAL AND PHYSICAL STRENGTH OF CHILDREN WITH MILD DISABILITIES FROM 9 TO 11 YEARS OLD AT SOME SPECIAL SCHOOLS IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

 

By research methods such as: analysis and synthesis of documents, interviews, pedagogical tests and statistical methods. The article has evaluated the status of some morphological and physical strength of children with mild intelectual disability from 9 to 11 years old in some special schools in Ho Chi Minh City (in 2017). The results of the study show that: i) There is almost no difference regarding the morphological strength, height, weight and BMI of groups of children with metal retardation aged 9 to 11, apart from the height of the 11-year-old female group; ii) In terms of physical strength, mentally retarded children at the age from 9 to 11 are weaker than their normal counterparts in all indicators. The research’s findings, thereby, will be considered as a basis for further studíes to set up appropriate exercises for this object in the current period.
