EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIALS TO DEVELOP RIVER TOURISM IN DA NANG CITY

Abstract
Da Nang has a very complex river system with great potentials for the development of river tourism. This research using a scale-based evaluation method shows that the river system of Danang city has many advantages for the development of river tourism, of which the Han River is the most favorable, followed by Co Co River. Cam Le, The potentials to explore Tuy Loan, and Cu De rivers are average. In order to develop river tourism in Danang city, this research proposes a number of solutions on planning, developing policies to encourage the development of river tourism, improving water quality and landscape, developing infrastructure and facilities as well as connecting with tourist sites and linking with cultural values along the river.
