DEVELOPING HIGH QUALITY TOURISM PRODUCTS IN VUNG TAU CITY TOURIST DESTINATION

Abstract
Vung Tau City is one of three cities in Vietnam recognized as ASEAN clean tourist city standard 2020. The average result of receiving nearly six million visitors/year (international visitors about 12%), shows that Vung Tau is a great attraction to tourists. However, compared to the potential, the results are still modest because the competitiveness of tourism products is still limited, high-quality tourism products do not meet the expectations of tourists and the benefits of the local community. This paper will present views, perceptions, motivations, and necessary conditions for Vung Tau City to focus reasonable resources for developing high-quality tourism products, affirming the position of a tourist city.
