The application of AI, particularly ChatGPT, is being extensively researched to support personalized learning and enhance interaction in education. Current trends focus on using AI for content creation, query assistance, and fostering creative learning. Our study aims to encourage teachers to use ChatGPT to generate real-world problems. Focusing on the 10th-grade algebra curriculum, we guided teachers through training ChatGPT using prompts and real-world problems from a 10th-grade algebra textbook. Teachers then used these prompts to create and improve real-world problems with solutions tailored to specific topics within the curriculum. Discussions on ChatGPT's effectiveness in each topic aimed to help teachers optimize its use for creating real-world problems. Results from 33 math teachers over five weeks showed statistically significant increases in factors influencing technology acceptance and ChatGPT adoption according to the Technology Acceptance Model. Despite sample limitations, teachers generally agreed with ChatGPT-generated problems and initial proficiency in training the chatbot for educational purposes. They also showed intentions to use ChatGPT in the future.
