Abstract

The article presents the concept of sketchnote, a handbook for using Sketchnote and the impact of sketchnote on students' self-study ability. Based on the research and analysis of lesson content, we designed teaching activities using sketchnote in the content of "Words" - Natural Science subject grade 7 to develop students' self-study ability. To evaluate the feasibility of the lesson plan and the effectiveness of sketchnote application, we conducted a survey of experts who are teachers and pedagogical students about their satisfaction with the lesson plan and the ability to apply it in practice. The research results show that the use of sketchnote in teaching brings positive effects, helping students improve their self-study ability, proactively explore knowledge and systematic thinking. The contribution of the article is clearly shown in the process of applying sketchnote to teaching, clarifying the components and behavioral indicators of self-study ability when using this method and analyzing feedback from teachers about the advantages and limitations of this method in teaching. At the same time, during the pedagogical experiment, we found that students had some specific manifestations that were consistent with their self-study ability.
