Những hiểu biết về cách thanh niên tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh (TP.HCM) đối mặt với quấy rối tình dục trực tuyến (QRTDTT) còn hạn chế, nhất là từ tiếng nói của người bị hại. Nghiên cứu nhằm tìm hiểu cách họ diễn giải sự việc, ứng phó với mối đe dọa và tái lập cảm giác an toàn. Dữ liệu phỏng vấn sâu của tám thanh niên từ 19 đến 25 tuổi tại TP.HCM được phân tích bằng phương pháp phân tích hiện tượng học diễn giải (IPA). Năm chủ đề được xác định: ranh giới an toàn bị xâm phạm; mối đe dọa trở nên nghiêm trọng khi quyền định đoạt bị thu hẹp; dấu ấn của mối đe dọa trong phản ứng tâm lý–cơ thể; nỗ lực giành lại và duy trì thế chủ động và bất an còn tiếp diễn dù đã nỗ lực ứng phó. Kết quả cho thấy khách thể đánh giá mức độ nghiêm trọng của QRTDTT gắn với khả năng kiểm soát dữ liệu, nguy cơ bị phơi bày và nguồn lực hỗ trợ. Các phát hiện gợi mở việc tăng cường giáo dục về an toàn tình dục và sự đồng thuận trên môi trường số, đồng thời xây dựng hình thức hỗ trợ không phán xét, phù hợp với hoàn cảnh của từng nạn nhân QRTDTT.
