EVALUATION OF NATURAL ECOLOGICAL POTENTIALS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF STAPLE CROPS IN THE BE RIVER BASIN
Main Article Content
Abstract
Evaluation of the natural ecological potentials of a territory has played an important role in agricultural development. Scientifically, it is important for managers to plan and redistribute land use types. Be river basin belongs to Dong Nai river system. This is a region with many natural advantages in agricultural development. We used a geographic comparative method, map and geographic information system methods, and synthetic evaluation method in this study to determine the natural ecological potentials for the development of staple crops in the Be river basin. The study shows that there are 23 types of landscape in 71 landscape types in the Be river basin that are suitable for planting rubber, cocoa, avocado and grapefruit.
