THE STUDY OF CHINESE LANGUAGE IN VIETNAM - FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY TO 2019

Abstract
The article reviewed 144 articles of Chinese language published in the two journals "Language" and "Journal of Language and Life" between 2001 and 2019, and summarized the situation of Chinese language research in Vietnam at this stage in six fields: (1) Chinese ontology research, (2) Research on the Contrast of Chinese and Vietnamese Language, (3) Research on Chinese textbooks and teaching, (4) Research on the Translation between Chinese and Vietnamese, (5) Chinese Acquisition Research, (6) Research on Chinese Ethnic Language in Vietnam. Based on the results of the review, the article discusses Chinese language research in Vietnam during this period, followed by recommendations.
