ORGANIZATION SPACES FOR TOURISM OF DONG HOI CITY

Abstract
Dong Hoi city is a national tourist destination, and a center for converging and spreading tourism activities in Quang Binh province. The paper is aimed at organizing the tourism spaces of Dong Hoi city on the basis of the current and potential tourism destinations and tours, as well as the system of tourism infrastructure. In the results, five main tourism areas are identified: (i) Nhat Le beach and resort area; (ii) Bao Ninh luxury beach and resort area; (iii) Quang Phu coastal rural tourism area; (iv) Vuc Quanh cultural and ecotourism area, (v) Linear area of historical – revolutionary – spiritual cultural sites; and some typical tours to other attractive destinations inside and outside Quang Binh province from Dong Hoi city. The research results could contribute to a basis for tourism planning of the city in particular and Quang Binh province in general.
