FACTORS AFFECTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF RESPONSIBLE TOURISM IN KIEN HAI DISTRICT, KIEN GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract
Responsible tourism will be the future tendency for the tourism industry with the purpose of using tourism to create economic, social, and environmental sustainability for destinations. This study was conducted to provide support for Kien Hai district, Kien Giang province in developing responsible tourism. The study collected data from a survey with 160 visitors. The research results show that there are five factors influencing the development of responsible tourism in Kien Hai district from the most influential to the least: responsible communication in tourism, responsible operation of the dining establishment, responsible operation of the accommodation, responsible community action in tourism, and responsible development of tourism product. This study not only confirms the theory and practice of responsible tourism but also provides evidence for Kien Hai district to make more responsible local tourism development solutions.
