Abstract

 

Based on the requirements of the 2018 Language Arts and Literature curriculum, the article highlights some essential structures of a teaching topic with illustrations. Based on the analysis and synthesis of some documents by the Ministry of Education and Training and publications related to the topic of teaching Literature, it is believed that the topics of teaching Literature for the new program's requirements should be developed in an integrated manner (integrating Literature and Vietnamese)., based on the categories of texts, and a system of texts as regards the level of complexity and levels of communication skills. This result will contribute to developing high school teachers' skills for program development to meet the purposes and requirements of the 2018 Language Arts and Literature curriculum.
