Abstract
The ability of investigating the natural world is one of specialized competencies needed to be developed for high school students. This article presents the process of setting up a chemistry club in high schools; principles and process of designing experiments at the Chemistry club to develop students' ability of studying the natural world. Furthermore, the assessment scale and tools for the competence are also depicted in this article. We conducted two experiments for the chemistry club of Ngo Quyen High School (Ho Chi Minh City). The results indicate the effectiveness and feasibility of using experiments at the Chemistry club in order to develop students' competence of studying the natural world at Ngo Quyen High School, Ho Chi Minh City.
