TEACHING THE FUNCTION Y=AX (A≠0) IN THE CONTEXT OF PERSONAL SPENDING DURING PROMOTION
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article studies the situations of teaching a mathematical knowledge in connection with personal financial problems (SM↔PF). The focus in this article is on development and implementation a situation of teaching linear function with the context of personal spending during a sale promotion (SLf↔Ps). Firstly, we introduce the rationale of the study of SM↔PF from the requirements of the math curriculum 2018 and describe the research methodology of the study by analysing a priori and explaining a posterior in SM↔PF, based on the Theory of Didactical Situations in Mathematics by Guy Brousseau in the 70s. On the basis of a brief epistemological analysis about linear functions combined with an institutional analysis of math teaching, we clearly explain our choices when building SLf↔Ps. Finally, we analyse a priori and a posterior of the situation SLf↔Ps.
