SOME THEORETICAL ISSUES OF EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION THROUGH DRAWINGS

Abstract

 

The article presents general information on emotional expressions through drawings, clarifies some approaches to projective drawing, presents research ethics, and some criteria for drawing analysis. Emotional expressions through drawing, specifically colours, shapes, strokes, and the story behind it. The analysis starts when a person chooses their favourite materials. At the end of the process, after they finish their product, collecting and analysing them is one of the most important parts for evaluating the whole process. In addition, interviewing drawers about the picture, how they feel, and their emotions while drawing is necessary. The purpose of the article is to provide information for further research on emotional expression through drawing. After that, creating a new channel of communication, in addition to the use of verbal language, helps psychologists to approach more easily and effectively with human.
