MISORDERING IN NOUN PHRASES OF KOREANS LEARNING VIETNAMESE

Abstract
Based on errors and error analysis theory, this article focuses on examining misordering errors in noun phrases of Koreans who learn Vietnamese. In particular, the common errors committed by Korean learners relate to the position of a mass noun, quantifier and antonomasia. Based on error identification and classification, this paper aims to analyse, describe and explain the reasons for committing errors. Furthermore, some methods for fixing and correcting errors are recommended. Learning strategies could contribute to errors. In addition, language interference is considered as the main reason for the misordering. That is the reason why this article concentrates on explaining errors through the phenomenon of language interference. This article can be used as a functional and practical material for reinforcing and enhancing the quality of teaching Vietnamese to foreigners such as Koreans.
