NHAT LINH: THE ASPIRATION FOR AN INNOVATIVE COUNTRY AND THE ABILITY TO ORGANIZE THE CULTURAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Abstract

 

 

Nhat Linh was a writer who has contributed significantly to the development of Vietnamese literature. As the Founder of “Tu Luc Van Doan” (The Self-Strengthening Literary Union), he was one of the writers who helped speed up and complete the process of modernizing Vietnamese literature in the beginning of the 20th century, particularly Vietnamese novels. Furthermore, Nhat Linh always aspired to innovate not only culture, but also the entire country in all respects. This paper focus on the cultural and social revolution activities by Nhat Linh which reflect his aspirations. The paper again confirms Nhat Linh's contributions, not only in literature but also in culture and social reforms.
