USING GEOGEBRA TO CONSOLIDATE GEOMETRY THEORY

Abstract

 

Students learning geometry are usually required high levels of visual thinking and imagination. In order to help students with such visual thinking, we have examined the possibilities of applying GeoGebra software to teach geometry to reinforce the theory of each lesson. This article presents arguments and procedures for applying GeoGebra software for practices. Then, we apply the procedures to teach students in grades 10. In this paper, some examples will be presented. It is suggested to further study the use of GeoGebra software in teaching geometry with grades 11
and 12.
