DESCRIPTION AND STRUCTURE OF WRITING COMPENTENCE FOR ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAYS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN LINE WITH VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE ARTS AND LITERATURE CURRICULUM 2018

Abstract
The Vietnamese Language Arts and Literature curriculum 2018 defines writing competence as one of the special competences and an argumentative essay as a text that requires students to practice from secondary schools to high schools. In order to guarantee the scientific path of developing writing competence of an argumentative essay as well as reaching the educational targets at high school level, this article suggests writing competence structure of an argumentative essay of high school students regarding the orientation of Vietnamese Language Arts and Literature curriculum 2018. Based on the perspective of approaching writing competence structure in terms of partial competence and the orientation of writing an argumentative essay in high schools from The Vietnamese Language Arts and Literature curriculum 2018, the article advocates writing competence structure of an argumentative essay and explains about its constituents and behavioral indicators conveying writing competence of an argumentative essay.
