This article reports on the academic advisors’ (AAs) skills at the Ho Chi Minh University of Education. Findings show that AAs’ skills were rated at a ‘fair to good’ level. Particularly, the information-providing skill was rated the highest followed by the listening skill, both with a level of ‘good’ on a 4 likert scale. The questioning skill ranked third at a ‘fair’ level. The problem-identifying skill had the lowest mean among the four skills and was rated at a ‘fair’ level.
