CURRENT SITUATIONS OF TEACHING PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSES FOR NON-SPEACIALIZED STUDENTS AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION

Abstract

 

This study surveyed on two groups of subjects, which are 29 lecturers with 07 group of indicators and 599 non-speacialized students in with 04 group of indicators related to the current teaching situation of Physical education modules at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE). The survey results show that: (1) the teaching of PE modules for non-specialized students at the HCMUE is appropriate, meets the needs and creates learning motivation, promoting development, personal development in learners. The teaching are basically meeting the physical requirements of the new career standards of the Ministry of Education and Training; (2) there are still some difficulties in the fields: the comparison of outputs is still limited; learners have difficulty in registering the courses; the ratio of theory to practice; it is difficult for learners to approach the review process; the enhancement of lifelong learning ability of learners is still limited. Research is the basis for further improving the quality of teaching physical for non-specialized students at HCMUE in the next period
