A STUDY ON THE MANAGEMENT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING AT DONG NAI INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL OF BUDDHISM

Abstract
Improving the effectiveness of management of teaching at Dong Nai Buddhist Intermediate School is considered as a key task in the school management. The research was conducted to examine several aspects of management, including managing professors' teaching activities; managing learning activities of monks and nuns; managing testing and evaluating of student learning results; managing conditions to support teaching activities. The survey results of 35 managers and 300 learners show that the school still has limitations in management related to the implementation, monitoring and supervision of teaching activities; the organization of learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom, especially limited guidelines for self-study methods, organization of extracurricular activities; student assessment methods: undiversified and failed to assess student competencies conditions to support teaching activities. Based on the results, a number of measures have been suggested to improve the quality of teaching activities of the school.
