STUDENTS’ EVALUATION ON THE STUDY PROGRAMMES AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION

Abstract
Surveying students on study programmes has become a regular activity of universities in order to collect feedback from various stakeholder groups to improve the quality of academic programmes. The paper presents the results from a senior students survey at four departments at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education on eight aspects related to the study programmes. The results show that students evaluated high on the quality of teaching staff, learning materials for the programmes, the institution’s environmental landscape, and students' gained knowledge and professional skills. Identified key areas for improvement arecounselling activities, student support services, the balance between theory and practice in the programmes, the reliability and validity of student assessment, and teaching and learning facilities. Based on the survey results, recommendations are offered for the University and the departments to improve the quality
