Abstract

Teachers in general or French teachers in primary and secondary education are required to train and improve their skills throughout their careers. This article presents the findings of a survey carried out with French teachers in the southern provinces. These teachers were asked to evaluatethe training courses they had joined and to identify their needs for further professional development. The findings show that teachers perceived that the courses have adequately addressed the needs of teachers. There were some disparities found on importance of training contents, training needs, and logistical issues, which requires further study.
