Abstract

This article presents the results of a survey of 394 preschool teachers, 179 managers, 187 parents, and 100 staff of socio-political organizations on solutions to prevent violence against preschool children in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). Solutions surveyed include disseminating to communities, families and children about dangers and consequences of child abuse; the responsibility to detect and notify cases of children being abused or at risk of violence, exploitation or abandonment; raising awareness and equipped with knowledge about child protection; education, knowledge counseling, self-protection skills for preschool children and warning about the risk of child abuse; advising on knowledge, skills and interventions to eliminate or minimize the risk of child abuse for fathers, mothers, teachers, child caregivers, people working in agencies providing child and child protection services in order to create a safe living environment for at-risk children. These were evaluated as effective solutions to prevent familyviolence against
preschool children.
