SHADES OF LAUGHTER IN HOC LAC’S SATIRICAL NOM POEMS

Abstract
Hoc Lac is one of the outstanding Southern poets with the line of satirical Nom poems with many outstanding contributions to medieval folk poetry in the second half of the nineteenth century. Using stylistic research and structural analysis, the article analyzes the shades of laughter, a unique art feature in his satirical poems. The shades of laughter in Hoc Lac’s satirical Nom poems appear with three characteristics: discreet, deep laughter; laugh out loud, outspoken and bitter, regretful laughter. The article then aims to clarify a prominent feature in the poet’s blunt and blunt satirical style. In addition, the article also contributes to documentation and collection of Nom satirical poems of Hoc Lac, which tend to be lost or folklorized so far.
