THE GREEN HEDGES AND ECOLOGICAL AESTHETIC THOUGHT IN VIETNAMESE MEDIEVAL POETRY
Main Article Content
Abstract
The hedge is a familiar image in medieval Vietnamese poetry, which has been identified as a sign of ethnicity by researchers. However, the article will examine the hedge imagery from a different perspective: ecological aesthetics. From this perspective, the article will focus on analyzing the meanings of the green hedge imagery in expressing the human-nature relationship, creating a symbiotic world with medieval Vietnames poetry’s own beauty. In an age of global ecological disruption, it grows more urgent and crucial every day to explore traditional ecological aesthetic thought. This makes sense not only for readers of poetry but also for the larger community of readers who are interested in environmental awareness.
