DIGITAL LIBRARY SERVICES AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION

Abstract
The concept of digital library and digital library service is becoming increasingly familiar to libraries and academic communities worldwide. Along with the development of science and technology and the internet, the digital library has undergone a development phase. It has made important achievements in providing better and more convenient information resources and services for users. However, in university libraries in Vietnam, the development of digital library services still face many barriers due to a lack of orientation and spontaneity. By method of document analysis, this article clarifies the concept of digital library and digital library service, discusses development trends of digital library service and challenges in providing digital library service, and discusses orientations for the development of digital library service at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
