Abstract

This article presents the literary innovations in early 20th century of Vietnam, focusing on significant characteristics related to the transformation of societal and literary models, as well as the influences of France encompassing language, thinking, and artistic concepts that have been assimilated into literature through a system of three creative techniques, namely learning, assimilation, and synthesis. The research findings demonstrate that the contemporary literary context of Vietnam serves as a foundation for the assimilation and transformation of Western literature in various dimensions. Additionally, a comparative and receptive approach seems to be effective in providing an overview of the tendencies of Western assimilation and the localization of contemporary Vietnamese literature (at the beginning of the 20th century).
