Abstract

 

 

Self-assessment of study programs has become a regular activity of universities to improve the quality of the programs. This study presents the results of a survey of 90 lecturers and 12 administrators of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) to assess program self-assessment. It was found that many lecturers and administrators were aware of the importance and effects of self-assessment on the programs. In addition, most lecturers and administrators recognized that the self-assessment complied with the process and achieved relatively effective results. Based on the survey results, the university is suggested to continue to communicate about the self-assessment of the study programs so thatall lecturers and administrators will be fully aware of this activity. It is also suggested that more attention is paid to writing and publicizing the self-assessment results.
