THE NATURE OF THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS CULTURE IN NGUYEN NGOC’S NOTES

Abstract

This research examines Nguyen Ngoc’s notes about the Central Highlands from the late 20th century to the present. From the cultural perspective, the article identifies Nguyen ’Ngoc’s unique style about people and culture there. The research findings explain the nature of the Central Highlands culture through Nguyen ’Ngoc’s notes, which are expressed in “forest culture” and “village culture” together with the relationship between forests and villages in the lives of ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands. The article also proclaims Nguyen Ngoc’s contributions to discovering the core nature of Central Highlands culture as well as his suggestions on how to behave in accordance with the unique culture of this land.
