THE DEVELOPMENT OF CASHEW TREES IN BINH PHUOC PROVINCE FROM 2010 TO 2020

Abstract
The article studies the development of cashew trees in Binh Phuoc province from 2010 to 2020 for recommendations to take advantages of its strengths and potentials. Using the SWOT analysis, the paper identifies the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of the cashew industry in a province with socio-economic disadvantages. The results show that cashew trees play a key and strategic role. However, in the past 10 years, cashew nuts have not effectively explored to the fullest potentials. The urgent solution is studying more new varieties, applying intensive farming techniques, increasing cashew yield and quality, associated with the processing stages. These are for better income to farmers and increasing export turnover as well as increasing the value of the agriculture in Binh Phuoc province.
