TRANSFERABILITY IN DESIGNING PRIMARY AND PRESCHOOL TEACHER EDUCATION CURRICULA BASED COMPETENCY BASED PATHWAYS FOR 5–6-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN

Abstract
The article clarifies various concepts: competency-based pathways, and competency-based pathways of 5-6-year-old children. This study aims at understanding parents' perspectives about preparing for children to enter grade 1 and finding out the transferability of curricula for preschool and primary school teachers. Based of the results of the study, the article proposes orientations on directing, managing, designing and implementing the curricula for preschool and primary school teachers to meet the requirements of Preschool Education Curriculum (draft) after 2020 and the General Education Curriculum 2018 already in place. The research results will help managers at all levels and training institutions to adjust their orientations to design, manage, and operate the curricula for preschool and primary school teachers to ensure the transferability, to develop appropriate professional development for preschool and primary school teachers ready to support children entering Grade 1.
