STUDENTS' SELF-ASSESSMENT OF SKILLS TO DESIGN AND ORGANIZE EXPERIENTIAL, CAREER-ORIENTED ACTIVITIES: A CASE STUDY AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to explore how students self-assess their skills to design and organize experiential, career-oriented activities (ECOA) at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE). A sample of 384 students from Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Foreign Languages Faulties participated in the research. The survey results showed that students self-assessed their skills at moderate levels for both design and organizational skills. Students also evaluated their planning skills higher than implementation ones. Students assessed themselves as performing well in selecting organizational models and preparing materials and equipment but facing difficulties in developing criteria, evaluation tools, and handling situations while implementing ECOA activities. Based on the study results, the article also proposes recommendations for HCMUE lecturers and students to enhance their competencies in this area.
