Abstract

The importance of assessing software engineering skills is growing rapidly in response to the demands of the labor market. Companies and training organizations need to evaluate the current skills of each individual to establish measures to control quality and specific training strategies. However, quantifying software engineering skills is still a rare and ineffective practice, making it difficult to determine a suitable approach for meeting these requirements. The paper proposes digitizing a "software engineering" skill profile and using it as a basis for quantifying skills. This will allow the development of an interactive system for measuring software engineering skills for individuals working in the field, based on evaluations from the community, using a Blockchain-based Reputation System, and AI technology. The research results can also be extended to assess the professional competence of individuals in other fields.
