GROWTH ASSESSMENT OF 5-6 AGED CHILDREN AT SOME PRESCHOOLS IN PHU NHUAN DISTRICT, HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

This study surveyed 59 managers and preschool teachers on the developmental assessment of preschoolers aged 5-6 years at five preschools in Ho Chi Minh City on the following issues: role, content, form, methods, means and tools as well as factors affecting this activity. The study was surveyed on 59 people including administrators and preschool teachers. Survey results show that developmental assessments of 5-6-year-old children were carried out quite comprehensively and regularly by preschools, but the effectiveness was still inadequate. Appropriate measures are needed to improve the effectiveness and quality.
