INSTALLATION ART - TRENDS, CHALLENGES AND CHANCES FOR VIETNAM YOUNG VISUAL ARTISTS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The birth of postmodern art, associated with the spirit of innovation, created a turning point in cultural and artistic activities
in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With large spaces and a strong impression, installation artworks can interact with
the majority of the public. Installation art has been introduced to Vietnam since 1986, with limited participation and enjoyment.
Gradually, many young artists have joined this trend. However, new trends are not always welcomed by the viewers and gain
great achievements. Finding reasons and existing issues and then solutions can contribute to promoting this new art in Vietnam.
