Abstract

The article examines the role of the private economy in Vietnam's agriculture during the period of international integration. It highlights the growing contribution of the private sector to agricultural economic growth while analyzing its current state from various perspectives. Although the number of enterprises in agriculture, forestry, and fishery has increased, the growth rate remains significantly slower than the nationwide rise in enterprises. Moreover, most businesses in this sector operate on a small scale. The private economy plays a pivotal role in driving agricultural restructuring and participating in linkage models to establish value chains. However, its development has been hindered by various objective and subjective factors. Based on this analysis, the article proposes six key solutions to accelerate the growth of the private economy in Vietnam’s agricultural sector during international integration.
