Abstract

Recently, microcontrollers and sensors have been integrated into the 2018 General Education Curriculum, making the ability to use microcontrollers and sensors essential for Technology teachers. In this study, eight low-cost practice kits were designed to help Technology Education students design and use Arduino-based microcontroller circuits. The kits are organized into different topics, allowing learners to build various application-based electronic circuits such as smart lighting systems, automatic irrigation, smart door locks, fire and gas leak alarm systems, and more. The results show that the kits are aligned with the training program, feasible to implement, and highly practical. Moreover, the flexible circuit design allows learners to connect additional components, thereby enhancing creativity during practice. This study contributes to addressing the current lack of tools and equipment for microcontroller practice among Technology Education students
