Abstract

Library connection plays a pivotal role in optimizing information resources and enhancing the quality of education and scientific research in the current educational context. This study was conducted to assess the current status of library connection at seven universities of education in vietnam through surveys and semi-structured interviews with 64 library staff. The results indicate that some universities have participated in interconnection activities and information resource sharing; however, these activities remain fragmented and lack coordination. Advanced forms such as catalog sharing, interlibrary loan, or integrated shared databases are still very limited. This situation highlights the need for coordinated solutions in both policy and technology to develop a feasible and sustainable library connection model, enhancing access to and exploitation of information resources, thereby contributing to improving the quality of education and research at universities of education.
