INTEGRATING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION INTO EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTATION SOLUTIONS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Amid increasingly serious global environmental challenges and the implementation of Vietnam’s 2018 General education curriculum, which identifies experiential activities as a compulsory component, integrating environmental education into experiential activities at the primary school level has become a pedagogically necessary task. Nevertheless, practical implementation in primary schools remains limited due to the lack of clear pedagogical guidance and feasible instructional solutions for teachers. This study employs theoretical analysis and synthesis to systematize key perspectives on integrated teaching within experiential activities in primary education, combined with pedagogical experimentation to examine the feasibility and effectiveness of applying active teaching methods in environmental education. The findings indicate that a well-structured integration of environmental education into experiential activities enhances educational effectiveness and supports the development of environmental awareness, attitudes, and environmentally responsible behaviors among primary school students through real-life learning experiences. The study affirms experiential activities as an appropriate educational space for environmental education at the primary level and proposes practical solutions, including the diversification of teaching methods and the use of AI-assisted observation and reflection tools to support teachers in designing and implementing experiential activities more effectively.
