PEER REVIEW POLICY
Ho Chi Minh City University of Education Journal of Science (HCMUE J. Sci.) applies a double-blind peer review policy to ensure objectivity, transparency, and confidentiality throughout the entire manuscript evaluation process.
I. PEER REVIEW POLICY
- All submitted manuscripts are preliminarily screened for suitability regarding the journal’s scope, aims, and formatting requirements before being sent for peer review.
- Each manuscript is evaluated through a double-blind review process by at least two independent experts with recognized expertise in the relevant research field.
- Reviewers are scholars from universities, research institutes, or scientific and technological centers in Vietnam and abroad.
- The average review period, from submission to editorial decision, is approximately 90 days.
II. PEER REVIEW PROCESS
1. Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts via the journal’s online submission system at https://journalhcmue.edu.vn. Account registration and submission are completely free of charge.
2. Screening: The Editorial Board checks the manuscript’s relevance and similarity index (accepted threshold: below 25% total and below 5% from a single source). Manuscripts exceeding these limits will be rejected.
3. Preliminary Review: An editor assesses the manuscript for scientific quality, originality, and relevance. Suitable manuscripts proceed to the peer review stage.
4. Peer Review: The manuscript is sent to independent reviewers. Their comments and recommendations are consolidated and shared with the authors for revision if necessary.
5. Revision: Authors submit a revised manuscript and a detailed response to reviewers’ comments. The revised version may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers if needed.
6. Editorial Decision: Based on reviewers’ feedback, the handling editor proposes acceptance or rejection. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
7. Technical Editing: Accepted manuscripts undergo language, technical, and formatting editing and are sent to authors for final approval before publication.
III. PUBLICATION FORMAT
- Publication forms: Print and online versions.
- Languages: Vietnamese, English, French, and Chinese (each article includes an English abstract and keywords).
- Publication frequency: Monthly. In addition to regular issues, the Journal may publish special issues to serve academic or commemorative purposes upon official approval.
