USING A CONTEXTUAL TEACHING APPROACH TO IMPROVE THE PROBLEM-SOLVING COMPETENCE ON EQUATIONS FOR 10TH GRADERS
Main Article Content
Abstract
There are many ways to improve problem-solving competence for students, in which context-based teaching is an important and effective method. This article proposes a number of ways to design realistic problems and to combine designed real problems with contextual teaching on the topic of "equations" to improve problem-solving competence for 10th graders. Research results obtained from qualitative and quantitative data of the experimental teaching process show that students understand well how to solve problems, and their competence in solving realistic problems is clearly improved.
