AN EVALUATION OF MASTER PROGRAMS AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION

Abstract
The article mentions the result of the quality evaluation of master programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. The aspects of the assessment cover seven standards that were proposed by the research team, including the program purposes; program expected learning outcomes; program specification; program structure and content; course syllabi; teaching and learning methods; and student assessment. A questionnaire was distributed to lecturers and managers of the programs. Also, the study analysed related documents. The results show that two standards of objectives and teaching and learning methods were assessed at the "fair" level; expected learning outcomes, program specification, program structure and content, course syllabi, and student assessment were evaluated at the "average" level. The results are important for proposing measures to improve the quality of the university's postgraduate study program.
