Abstract

The article discussed the reality of vocational orientation in Ho Chi Minh City high schools. The study presents the purposes, content and deployment tools in vocational orientation activities for high school students. The results show that most schools use different forms of vocational orientation to support students in an appropriate and effective way. However, there are significant differences in evaluating the popularity and the effectiveness of the forms among schools. These are mainly atributed to the competence of the staff responsible for vocational orientation activities. Based on the results,a number of solutions are proposed to develop career guidance to enhance the professional capacity of the team working in vocational orientation in high schools.
