PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY TEACHERS OF FRENCH IN SOUTHERN PROVINCES: REALITY AND PROSPECTS

Abstract

 

In a context that has been disrupted by the Covid19 crisis, professional development for primary and secondary teachers in Vietnam in general and in the southern provinces in particular must be seriously considered by related stakeholders. Four in-depth interviews were conducted with staff and specialists from different agencies responsible for continuous professional development (CPD) for teachers of French in schools. The paper first attempt to describe an overall view of French teaching and continuous professional development for them in Vietnam.
