Abstract

Activeness plays an important role in the development of preschool children in general and preschool children aged 5-6 in particular. Especially, designing and applying physical games in physical education classes as the means of learning is appropriate with psychological characteristics and also helps raise the activeness of children aged 5 and 6. This research has been implemented to evaluate the reality of designing physical games for preschoolers aged 5-6, in physical education classes in Ho Chi Minh City using a survey. A total of 218 preschooler teachers from 12 different kindergarten schools in Ho Chi Minh City was selected to participate in this research. The results of the survey show that preschooler teachers in general rarely design physical games in physical education classes for children, they are mainly using available physical games (from the preschool education program, collection of games…), physical games from these sources are less attractive, attracting the participation of children.
