PSYCHOMETRICS OF THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL STUDENTS' LIFE SATISFACTION SCALE (MSLSS)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article reviews the development of measuring life satisfaction (LS) in children and adolescents, in which, focuses on the description of The Multidimensional Students' Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS). The psychometrics of MSLSS are compiled based on diverse evidence of validity and reliability across different versions of MSLSS. The reliability of the scale is found to be acceptable with Cronbach's Alpha coefficients and test-retest coefficients are from 0,7-0,9. Evidences of the validity of MSLSS through factor analysis has shown that the 5-dimention model (Family, Friends, Self, School and Living Environment) with 40-item is suitable for evaluation of LS. In addition, the convergent and discriminant validity recorded through the correlation between the variables in the scale and other variables have also provided further support for the validity of MSLSS.
