PRACTICAL TEACHING COMPETENCE IN BIOLOGY OF HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN SOUTHERN PROVINCES, VIETNAM
Main Article Content
Abstract
Practical teaching in Biology is a crucial method for shaping and developing students‘ qualities and competencies of students. It serves as both the content and a key teaching strategy within the subject. However, there are still significant challenges regarding the implementation of practical teaching in high school Biology. This study, based on a survey of 134 Biology teachers from several southern provinces in Vietnam, provides an overview of the current status of practical teaching in Biology. The collected data were analyzed and evaluated to assess how effectively practical teaching fosters student competence, while also identifying limitations. The study proposes measures to improve the efficiency and impact of practical teaching in Biology.
