THE CONCEPT OF HUMANS IN CATHOLIC STORIES
Main Article Content
Abstract
With a history spanning nearly four centuries of formation and development, Catholic literature in Vietnam remains an underexplored domain, often overlooked by the general public. This article aims to identify, analyze, and assess the representations of human nature and human issues through specific character archetypes. Drawing upon foundational principles from the Bible, theology, philosophy, and Catholic teachings, this study provides a comparative framework for assessing the thematic and artistic dimensions of these works. Through this approach, we highlight the influence of Christian faith on literature and affirm that Catholicism has brought new dimensions of thought and artistic expression to national literature.
